<엘리안과 빛나는 마법 모험>의 OST 작곡자인 앨런 멩컨(Alan Menken)은 아카데미상 음악상 4회와 주제가상 4회, 총 8회를 수상한 미국의 뮤지컬 및 영화 음악 작곡가이자 피아노 연주자다.

'Look for the Light'는 엘리안 공주가 몬스터로 변한 부모님의 저주를 풀기 위해 태양과 달의 사제인 써니와 루노의 집에 방문하고, 그들의 조언을 통해 빛을 찾아 신비한 모험 여행을 떠나게 되는 과정을 담은 노래다.

'Step by Step'은 왕과 왕비가 괴물로 변해버린 지 1년이 지나자 이대로 가다가는 왕국이 무너져 내릴지 모른다는 위기감에 더 늦기 전에 참된 지도자가 필요하다고 생각하게 된 나자르 장관과 볼리나 장관이 엘리안 공주를 왕위에 올리기 위해 설득하는 과정을 담은 노래다.
